What is laurel berry oil?

Laurel berry oil is cold-pressed from the fruit of the bay laurel tree. It is the ingredient that defines authentic Aleppo soap and sets it apart from standard olive oil bars. Our formula contains 40% laurel berry oil, a high concentration that gives the soap its characteristic earthy scent, its deep amber color after aging, and its traditionally valued cleansing properties.
